    Paid Intern, Drone Programs The Museum of Flight 7 reviews - Seattle, WA 98108 $15 an hour - Part-time, Internship Title: Drone Programs Intern Reports to: Interpretive Programs Coordinator Compensation: Grade Level 6; No Benefits Seasonal Internship (two month program), part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Direct Reports: None General Function: Primary responsibility will be to assist in the development and provide onsite public facing educational drone programs and presentations. This person must be committed to representing The Museum of Flights Vision and Mission with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Qualifications: Education: Must be at least 16 years old currently attending High School or College, or possess a High School Diploma. Experience: Previous work experience not required Knowledge & Skills: * Knowledge of drone systems and procedures * Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work * Attention to detail and problem solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task * Ability to work in a team-based environment as well as independently with self-initiative and minimal supervision * General understanding of museum operations and organization * Knowledge of/interest in aviation and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Museum Specific Qualifications: * Candidate for internship must be able to pass a criminal background check * Customer service/client driven focus with a positive, collaborative, solution-based attitude that stays within and upholds Museums policies and procedures * Onsite attendance is essential to perform the duties of this position * Must be able to work a flexible schedule throughout the week Essential Job Functions: 1. Development and implementation of public facing drone education programs and presentations 2. Prepare materials for education programs 3. Attend and provide support for occasional planned events 4. Communicate and coordinate with internal departments 5. Assist with education programs and events 6. Provide general support to education staff and Museum learners as needed 7. Working Conditions The Education Interns weekly schedule is Friday through Sunday with an anticipated start date of July 1 through August 30, 2018. This internship position requires one to be available to work up to 24 or more hours per week throughout the two month internship. Generally, work hours for this position will be scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; however, occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Any hours worked over 40 per week must be preauthorized by your supervisor. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds with little assistance * Normal office conditions apply, including repetitive wrist and arm movement, including long periods of sitting or standing * Drone operation with the ability to focus, bend, carry, reach to the side, front and overhead, push, pull, focus, walk, stand, twist and squat are requirements for this position Travel: * No travel is expected for this position APPLICATION DIRECTIONS: Resume & Cover Letter Required APPLICATION DEADLINE: The closing date for this position is 7/1/2018 will remain open until filled.
