  • Responsibilities

    The Group Sales Seasonal Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of group visits to Stone Mountain Park, taking orders from groups including schools, religious organizations, scouts, families, tour operators, senior groups, etc. This role will also provide administrative support for the Marketing Department, as needed. This position will require weekend work on an as needed basis and the ability to work flexible hours on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time.

    • Answer incoming calls to the Group Sales department; efficiently handle requests for information while providing superior customer service
    • Provide administrative support to the Director of Marketing & Sales and Marketing Manager as needed
    • Assist with daily office operations such as e-mails and office mailings
    • Assist with coordinating the daily submission and execution of paperwork, payments, contracts, order forms, tickets, etc.
    • Develop and maintain good working relationships with other park operating areas
    • Serve as Event MOD for group events (including weekend events) as needed to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently -- including but not limited to coordinating special requests, cleaning, and completing checklists
    • Perform administrative duties as needed including data entry, filing, copying, sorting, mailing, etc
    • General housekeeping duties
    • This position requires the employee to receive credit card information to receive a payment, or initiate a refund

    • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
    • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Must have the ability to calculate and apply percentages and basic concepts of geometry
    • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • Must be well organized and detail-oriented
    • Must be able to take initiative and work with little supervision
    • Must be able to obtain PCI certification within 30 days of employment.

    Required Experience

    • * High School diploma or education equivalent required
      
      • Current college student majoring or academic focus in Hospitality Management, Marketing or a communication-related field preferred
      • Experience in customer relations a plus
      • Experience in an administrative support setting a plus
      • Experience with sales systems a plus
      • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
