The purpose of this position is to manage Peacock Gap Golf Club’s outside golf operations. The Cart Staff employee will work closely with the Golf Services Manager to ensure a smooth transition for customers around the facility. Primary responsibilities include excellent customer service, efficiency of car loading, car cleanliness and staging, storing, Driving Range management and cleanliness of the overall facility.
Meet and greet all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
Making sure daily operations of range ball recovery runs smoothly.
Collecting and organizing range baskets used for ball transportation.
Adhere to proper pick up, transfer, cleaning, and distribution of range golf balls.
Wash range balls to maintain their cleanliness and usability.
Keep all working areas attractive, neat, and free of trash and waste.
Check the restrooms for cleanliness, wipe down counters and restock any tissue products or toiletries.
Follow procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart and range operations.
Tracking and reporting the need for supplies necessary for day to day operations.
Consult with Superintendent to assure golf range balls are cleared of the range prior to closing the evening of mowing the range.
Keep in contact with the Pro Shop to assure efficient transition for golfer to the course.
Coordinate with starter to keep level of carts and cart keys abundant.
Monitor golf cart traffic to ensure speed and safety compliance
Report any golf cart mechanical issues to Golf Services Manager.
Inspect the condition of golf cars with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance
Replenish current scorecards, pencils, and divot/seed fill canisters.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
This position will perform other duties as required.
1-3 years experience preferred in any fashion of the golf industry; private facility a plus.
Working knowledge of golf course operations and practices.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
Must enjoy working with and interacting with the public and other employees.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must display ability to be a self-starter.
Must be a team player with a positive, energetic attitude.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must have a valid California Drivers License.
Must have reliable transportation.
High school diploma or GED.
