    Job Summary and Objective

    The Public Relations & Communications Director will lead the design of effective internal and external communications and engagement activities under the direction of the CEO. This position will be responsible for all communications including employee communications, engagement activities (internal & external), media relations, public relations, social media, roll out and management of community programs, event planning, publication design, productions and distribution.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Assists with the development of annual marketing and service plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.

    Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form.

    Ensure message consistency, alignment and relevant translation across the company.

    Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages.

    Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation.

    Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face to face or through regular written communication.

    Drive high impact Internal and external communications messages and campaigns which drive employee engagement and business performance.

    Able to translate business objectives and requirements into effective Internal Communication and Engagement strategies.

    Direct implementation and execution of marketing and service policies and practices.

    Ensure marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements.

    Community & New Club Coordination

    Coordination with Village/Local Municipalities with openings and grand re-openings

    Use professional network to spread PF Brand awareness - EX - Live & pre Recording interviews with PF Corp, securing local TV/Radio Coverage, Social Media Spotlights & more to drive openings and grand openings

    PF Brand Development:

    Collaboration with marketing for all new club openings and other activities as needed for overall club growth across our various geographies and to support club continuity.

    Spearhead a local corporate program.

    Oversee all event planning, including new club development and events. Turkey Trot, 5K’s, Half Marathons/Marathons, etc.

    Liaise with marketing regarding Chicago Co-op

    Re-equips/(Re)-Grand Opening Mkt Initiatives:

    Execution of grand re-openings and/or member appreciation days associated with re-equips.

    Social Responsibility Oversight:

    Oversee and support all BCGC and community outreach programs, including all Mini-Judgement Free Zones and charitable organizations.

    Leveraging of all re-equips for public relations.

    Customize materials, messages, and training for customers’ communities.

    Create technical documentation for customer and their community.

    Positively assist customers’ communities in enrollment, installation, use and execution of products and processes, through mailings and phone contacts.

    Oversee and perform initial launch efforts.

    Act as liaison for internal and external communications with customers’ communities. Provide regular status reports and project plans.

    Interact with customers and their communities providing training and demonstrations of additional services and products available.

    Other responsibilities as asked by management.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or related field.

    5 years of experience in marketing.

    Supervisory Qualifications

    This position may have supervisory responsibilities and does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment and occasionally in a gym. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This role occasionally works with standard gym equipment, like weights, weight machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals and other similar machines.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    This is largely a sedentary role; however, requires occasional standing and walking. Will require ability to ride various modes of transportation.

    Position type and expected hours of work

    This position is a full-time exempt position. The Public Relations and Communications Director will generally work Monday through Friday and occasionally on the weekend. Schedules are based on the needs of the business.

    Travel

    This position requires up to 50% travel. Overnights may be expected.
