  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for club maintenance and repairs in the areas of general upkeep to the tanning beds, exercise, weight training, and massage equipment, and minor cosmetic construction needs relating to painting, lighting, and club upkeep. Additionally, the Facilities Technician will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets and 3) the service to our members.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Acts as the primary contact for all clubs for any general upkeep needs relating to minor cosmetic construction work.

    Maintains and updates online facility ticket submission tool.

    Perform general upkeep to the club’s facility and equipment.

    Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed.

    Transports goods or equipment as assigned.

    Solicits bids and quotes from vendors.

    Dispatch contractors to repair and maintain facilities, as necessary.

    Evaluate contractors work to ensure proper repairs were made after service calls.

    Assess the club to ensure cleanliness.

    Records and maintains a schedule of historical repair needs for each club.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in Gym Operations is beneficial.

    Effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors (required).

    Self-starter and team player (required).

    Negotiating and influencing skills (preferred).

    Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).

    Experience in Logistics, Permitting, Leasing, and Facilities Maintenance (preferred).

    Strong Project Management Background (preferred).

The employee is required to provide their own basic tools to perform various functions of the position.

    HOURS AND SCHEDULE

    Basic hours are Monday- Friday 8a-6p (Minimum of 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day in club.) Schedule is based on the needs of the business and may vary. Emergency calls may be required

    Schedule must be approved weekly by Director of Physical Plant

    PAID TIME OFF

    80 Hours per calendar year.
