Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will be responsible for all accounting functions of the organization including but not limited to general ledger and technical accounting according to US GAAP, management and development of accounting team members, and development of scalable systems and internal controls in support of our rapidly growing organization. This person will have high visibility and interaction with Company ownership and the executive leadership team.

Functions of the Position

Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP.)

Oversee the accounting function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Manage the closing process including reviewing monthly account reconciliations to ensure a timely and accurate close of the general ledger on a monthly basis.

Manages annual external financial audits, Federal and State tax filings, and regulatory financial reporting

Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

Creates an environment that rewards and recognizes individuals for creative and innovative ideas, and appropriate risk taking that positively impacts functional performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent is required. CPA designation preferred

Experience working in a fast paced, rapidly growing, multi-entity franchise system

Fitness industry experience preferred but not required

Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills

Experience working with business intelligence software including cloud based general ledger systems

Skilled in financial analysis and reporting

Experience implementing and utilizing financial systems, tools, processes and controls

Previous experience as a finance leader

Experience conducting/leading financial audits required
