    JOB SUMMARY

    The purpose of this job is to provide accurate and appropriate responses to player questions and concerns regarding Georgia Lottery products and policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to: answering questions, communicating with manager and internal customers, operating telecommunications equipment, problem solving, and performing other tasks as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    Answers questions from lottery players regarding games, winning numbers, prize amounts, winner claims and policies and procedures.

    Communicates with manager regarding player suggestions and/or complaints.

    Promotes the products of the GLC and its integrity.

    Operates telecommunications equipment to respond to callers.

    Operates computer terminal and related equipment to provide specialized information to players.

    Retrieves statistical information from computer.

    Sends correspondence to players containing detailed lottery information.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    High School Diploma (or GED) required.

    One to three years of customer service or telemarketing experience.

    Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

    Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required; excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

    Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job may be substituted for required years of experience.
