The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist plays a dual role that partners with team leadership and hiring managers providing recruiting, selection, placement, and onboarding for all positions at the Dollywood Company properties. This role will be supporting the Onboarding Coordinator and assist with the onboarding process. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.
Summary of Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads partnering efforts with hiring managers to identify needs, qualifications for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Interview candidates (via phone, video and in-person).
- Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media, etc.
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
- Craft recruiting emails to attract passive candidates.
- Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events.
- Utilize SilkRoad Recruiting software, maintain open job postings, telephone interview applicants, schedule interviews, decline applicants, initiate background checks, and launch online paperwork as determined by the Talent Acquisition Standard Operating Procedures, all in a timely manner.
- Advertise job openings on company’s careers page.
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs.
- Maintain and adhere to ongoing interview schedule for hiring managers.
- Discuss job requirements and applicant qualifications with hiring managers.
- Manage onboarding event software for efficiency, compliance and employee experience.
- Audit personnel records for all new hires and rehires.
- Maintain processing schedules for all new hires and rehires.
- Act as the liaison between Safety and Human Resources to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Rescind job offers for hosts who have unsatisfactory drug screen and background check results.
- Oversee safety holds by ensuring needed documents are submitted in a timely manner and follow up with leadership.
- Obtain proper identification for federal, state and company policy compliance.
- Keep extensive onboarding records and update teams daily.
- Check results of credit, criminal background checks, drug tests and motor vehicle reports. Responsible for communicating results to all hires.
- Assist with tracking and reporting of returned rehire letters, assist current hosts with issues surrounding rehire acceptance.
- Assist with planning and facilitation of annual mass rehire processing events.
- Plan and facilitate H2B processing events.
- Plan and facilitate college group processing.
- Be the primary point of contact for all contract labor support onboarding including scheduling initial meetings, onboarding plans, employee tracking, etc.
- Complete Recruit for Loot tracking and submit appropriate payment amounts to Payroll bi-weekly.
- Serve as back up to HR front desk.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and company rules and regulations regarding personnel files.
- Support benefits specialists and supervisor with various projects surrounding enrollment.
- Assist in other Human Resources programs and projects.
- Maintain excellent relationship with teams and departments.
- Respond, copy, and file daily correspondence in timely manner.
- Plan and coordinate the School Incentive Program by communicating with current hosts, leadership, finance and participating schools.
- Be knowledgeable of and assist with employment functions of new hosts to include, but not limited to, hiring events, training, wardrobe and host ID’s.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times to ensure that there is no release of information pertaining to Dollywood records, plans of any other matter without approval.

Required Experience
- High School Degree or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred.
- Previous HR, recruiting and interviewing experience, highly preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Google Suite , Monday.com.
- Type 40 WPM.
- Data entry and data management experience preferred.
- Obtain State of Tennessee Notary License within first 60 days of employment.
- Knowledge of employment law preferred.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
