Slots Technician Level 3 Technical Support Highland, California Description Position at San Manuel Casino Under the direction of the Slot Technical Supervisor/Slot Floor Supervisor, the Slot Technician III is responsible for orchestrating break schedules, coordinating training while on shift for the Floor Technicians and Slot Floor Supervisors, keeping the games that are not working to a minimal level as well as assisting coworkers and guests with exceptional service. The Slot Technician III must be able to perform advanced troubleshooting/repair on gaming machines, the communications systems that encompass them (Network switches and Advantage), and on machine components while complying with internal controls procedures for the department and company policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Responds to radio calls promptly and provides excellent customer service to all guests. * Coordinates schedules with staff, covers assigned section(s), breaks and assists coworkers with any issues that they may have. * Prepares games, checks part compatibility, and conducts functional testing. * Troubleshoots gaming machines, ticketing system and slot accounting system; performs general maintenance tasks, and repairs to the gaming machines and related systems. * Performs advanced machine and component repair. * Terminates and connects machine and system wiring to include fiber and serial. * Performs logic board repair. * Compiles and reports information regarding trends, problems, and engineering issues to supervision. * Assists the floor staff with any issues that may arise. * Meets regularly with Slot Tech Supervisor and Manager. * Receives delegated duties and additional tasks. * Suggests new ideas for an efficient and safe work environment. * Completes department and company related documentation. * Maintains detailed knowledge of games offered at the casino. * Performs tasks with minimal supervision. * Performs all the job duties of the Slot Technician I and Slot Technician II positions. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. Education/Experience/Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED required. * Degree or Certification in Electronics preferred. * Minimum one (1) year experience as Slot Technician required. * Must be trained and able to use diagnostic tools and equipment. * Understands basics of machine parts, harnessing, and cabinets of machines in use at casino. * Must continually develop technical skills associated the technical slot department operations; able to pass periodic technical examinations to determine abilities/skill levels. * Must be able to learn to read electronic schematics and color codes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. * Must be able to speak and write in English for required communication. * Must possess the physical capabilities to be able to carry machine keys, a radio, and log book on shift.
