    SeaWorld Culinary Intern SeaWorld Orlando We are looking for interns with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, while gaining valuable learning and real-world work experiences. An internship with SeaWorld Orlando will expose you to various aspects of the Hospitality and Theme Park industry while learning side by side our experts in the field. As a SeaWorld Intern, you will have the opportunity to inspire our guests to make memories that last a lifetime, while being exposed to many networking and possible future growth opportunities. Requirements and Competencies -Must be at least 18 years of age -Must be currently enrolled and seeking a four-year degree or Masters degree at an accredited university/college -Must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA at time of application -Must be able to provide exceptional guest service -Must have strong written and verbal communication skills -Must be able to communicate effectively with ambassadors, guests and leadership -Must be able to handle cash well -Must be able to pass all required department training including SafeStaff and RCS Responsible Vendor training (alcohol). -Must be able to train on and properly use equipment and protective gear -Must be able to maintain composure in stressful situations, multitask, make quick decisions, troubleshoot problems with training, and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment -Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift -Must be able to bend, reach, twist and turn with complete flexibility -Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 55 pounds -Must be able to repetitively climb stadium steps while carrying vending trays if assigned to stadium area -Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes -Must be able to walk in/around the water and sand in some areas -Must be comfortable completing all cleaning duties, including the use of cleaning chemicals -Must be available to work varying shifts or hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, holidays, weekends as needed and for the full duration of the program Desired Qualifications -Related major of study could include: Hospitality, Tourism, Event, Theme Park/Attraction, Restaurant & Food Service Management, General Business Management -1 year of work experience in a related field Primary Responsibilities -Work in host department as a front line ambassador learning the different functions of the department/area -Shadow Assistant Supervisor in one area of host department for specified time period of the internship -Shadow member of leadership in host department for specified time period of the internship -Attend development classes, seminars and tours pre-determined, during course of internship -Take and fill food and drink orders, ensuring correct portions, temperatures and proper plate presentation -Operate cash register for cash, credit card, check, travelers check and any other tend type transactions -Perform stock duties for cold line (e.g. desserts, salads, sandwiches) and dry storage items -Follow all safety and HACCP guidelines, use proper protective gear, testing food temperatures, HACCP verification -Keep all assigned areas clean, including emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, dusting, detail cleaning, sanitizing knives, cutting board, and prep table and sink -Perform other duties as assigned -More Information Park Name: SeaWorld Orlando Location: Orlando, FL Status: Seasonal Pay Rate: $12.50 Hourly Relocation Provided: No
