    STONE MOUNTAIN PARK IS LOOKING FOR AN ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN TO WORK IN A DYNAMIC AND DIVERSE M&C ENVIRONMENT. THIS POSITION WILL BE ASSISTING WITH ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO THE GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS FOR COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT. THIS INDIVIDUAL MUST POSSESS THE ABILITY TO WORK ON A BROAD RANGE OF M&C DUTIES.  RESPONSIBILITIES MAY ALSO INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PROVIDING TEMPORARY ELECTRICAL SERVICE AND EMERGENCY GENERATOR HOOK UP FOR VARIOUS FESTIVALS, EVENTS AND TENT STRUCTURES. TROUBLESHOOTING TO MAKE ELECTRICAL REPAIRS THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE A LICENSE IS ALSO ESSENTIAL. 

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Respond to a wide variety of electrical related work orders with occasional tasks that may relate to regarding electrical related tasks including but not limited to occasional HVAC, plumbing, or general maintenance.
    • Participate in various projects that require electrical and other technical skills including but not limited to general maintenance and construction departmental initiatives.
    • Assisting other skilled trades including contractors and M&C staff to restore operation of equipment following inclement weather.
    • Assist with minor building maintenance including but not limited to general construction repairs.
    • Assist with HVAC equipment & walk in coolers and freezer repairs under the guidance of the Master Certified HVAC technician.
    • Participate and having the willingness to learn how to manage building automation and energy management systems.
    • Electrical training is ongoing and having the capacity to pursue an electrical license is a plus.

                                    

    SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Participate in the 800 duty manager program with some rotational shifts that will amount to 25% of an average work week falling mainly on the weekends and normally with few incidents.
    • Duty managers communicate accurate information to supervisors and managers in a timely manner and can contact the appropriate technicians when needed to resolve the issues

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

    • High school diploma or education equivalency required
    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in maintenance or construction industry is required
    • Electrical training and /or 3 years’ experience or equivalent education preferred

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
