    Job Description

    We are seeking a passionate and motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our Technology team. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects that enhance our digital offerings—from our mobile app to backend services that support our club operations and member experiences. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, designers, and product managers in an agile, fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with full-time engineers on designing, developing, testing, and deploying features for Equinox’s digital platforms (mobile, web, and backend services).
    • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
    • Participate in code reviews, daily standups, and sprint planning sessions.
    • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
    • Contribute to internal tools or new initiatives aimed at improving user experiences for members and staff.
    • Document your work clearly for future reference and team understanding.
    • Present your final internship project to the engineering and leadership team at the end of the program.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java).
    • Understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
    • Experience working on academic or personal software projects.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • Knowledge of web frameworks (React, Angular) or mobile development (ios/ReactNative).
    • Interest in fitness, health, or wellness industry is a plus.
    • Previous internship or experience working in a team-based development setting is a bonus.

    Pay Transparency: Min $16.50 /hr, 10 - 12 weeks, 20- 40 hours a week
