Must have at least two years of experience working in an HR or administration office. Must have knowledge, understanding,andexperience processing FMLA, EO, and ADA actions. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in HR (or equivalent work experience) preferred. PHR or SHRM certification (either current or expired) preferred. POSITION DESCRIPTION This position provides general support functions for the Human Resources consortium and provides training for each employee serviced in this area. This position is based in the Alachua County Health Department, and services the twenty county consortium (North Central Florida). FMLA/FSWP: Coordinates all aspects of FMLA/FSWP requests for consortium, including but not limited to providing paperwork to liaison and supervisor upon request, maintaining log of absences for employee, monitoring use of FMLA/FSWP leave time, verification of eligibility, and maintaining employee medical files. Monitor activities for overlay with EEO/ADA issues. Workers' Compensation: - assists payroll staff with WC processing, tracking, reporting - maintains files for WC claims. EEO/ADA

    • assists HR manager with EO and ADA requests - includes processing of requests, maintaining confidentiality, and providing requested material
    • works with attorneys to provide accurate information to complete hearings, affidavits, etc. Labor Relations: - provides backup assistance to discipline staff - works with discipline staff on providing documentation of EO/ADA/FMLA requests or expirations.
