Duties & Responsibilities: -This is a highly autonomous position providing technology support to field offices in Tampa and surrounding counties area. The incumbent in this position will spend up to 10% of their time work travelling, and is responsible for all aspects of Help Desk Field support and management within the defined territory. Some work may include travel outside of territory as needed. -The incumbent in this position resolves Help Desk Tickets; works assigned tickets in the Help Desk ticket system; creates new tickets when necessary to report an issue; assigns created tickets to appropriate resource if known; resolves ticket issues. Remotely connects to users machines if necessary to resolve issued. Travels to client when needed. Researches proposed solutions or modifications to ensure they do not adversely affect the existing environment. Documents issues and sets the status to resolved upon completion. Escalates issued to Tier 3 support if needed. Contacts vendors for warranty repair issues. -Manages equipment distribution, including receiving equipment, setting up / configuring equipment, setting up / installing pre-configured networking equipment and running cabling for new workstation or network needs. -Troubleshoots and configures network and desktop equipment working with Help Desk and Infrastructure managers. -Manages telecommunications data and voice communications (set up and maintain phone system in assigned area). -Maintains documentation, including the following: System and Process documentation, Help Desk standard tasks and procedures, support instructions, and Help Desk installations and configuration notes and documentation. -Researches proposed solutions or modifications to ensure they do not adversely affect the existing environment. -Answers the Help Desk Phones, and troubleshoots issues remotely to achieve first call resolution. -Performs other work related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: -Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds, climb a ladder and stoop to the floor to install cables. -Ability to operate telephone systems and computer systems. -Ability to build and maintain computer systems. -Ability to terminate and test voice and data lines, build network cables. -Ability to work as liaison between customer, vendors and management. -Ability to operate network architecture. -Ability to Implement/install applications through SCCM. -Knowledge and Troubleshooting experience with Windows 7, Server 2k3, Exchange 2k7. -Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. -Ability to maintain yearly certifications for warranty work. -Excellent customer service and communication skills.
