    Talent Acquisition Specialist Location: Washington DC Department: Human Resources Job Code: 611 Description The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting at the Kennedy Center for variety of roles ranging from entry level to management roles in a range of career disciplines, from Artistic and Education Programming to Finance, IT, Digital, and Operations. The TA Specialist will use his/her experience and skills to assist in developing and maintaining a streamlined and high volume recruiting process for the Kennedy Center. The TA Specialist collaborates with hiring managers to identify needs and key performance factors in order to develop sourcing strategies and to build strong candidate pools. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will review job descriptions and work closely with hiring managers in order to fully understand the position requirements, work environment, department and team dynamics, and supervisor expectations in order to match Kennedy Center needs to a strong and diverse pipeline of candidates. The TA Specialist will review resumes, evaluate applications and send targeted candidate pools to hiring managers. The TA Specialist works closely with the Director, Employment Equity & Consulting to ensure strategic sourcing methods in alignment with the institutional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices. The TA Specialist will stay abreast of trends in the field of Talent Acquisition and Talent Selection, learning about industry trends, tools, and recruitment standards. The TA Specialist is the public face of the organization during the recruiting process and will ensure a positive candidate experience from the initial application through the onboarding process, as well as a positive experience for hiring managers. The TA Specialist plays a key role on an HR team that delivers a range of consulting services that help ensure a superior workforce and environment, including talent sourcing & recruiting, enhancing a diverse and inclusive environment, learning and development, benefits, and managing employee relations. Duties and Responsibilities: 40% Recruitment: Run the process workflow for internal staffing requisitions, KC job postings, external job board management, resume and application screening, and communication with hiring managers throughout recruitment process. Coordinate and participate in job fairs and recruiting events, as appropriate. 10% ATS System: Ensure applicant tracking system candidate and requisition files are updated regularly to track status of candidates throughout recruitment and selection process. 10% Reporting: Run vacancy report tracking and regular updates; build Taleo report for analysis of recruitment progress, challenges, additional sourcing pushes, etc. 25% Selection and Pre-Employment: Coordinate with hiring managers on candidate selections; draft offer letters, run pre-employment background checks and employment verifications. Prepare new employee files for the employee filing system; Prep managers to ensure all manager owned pre-employment activities are completed. 15% Onboarding: Prepare orientation materials for all new employees; coordinate orientation logistics including room scheduling and confirmation of all presenters; ensure employee first day schedules are arranged with managers; coordination of monthly orientation schedule and presenters. Work towards augmenting the onboarding experience, as appropriate, in coordination with the Director, Employment Equity & Consulting. Education/Experience: 2-4 years' experience with recruitment, hiring, and other HR related activities Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems such as Taleo and Workday Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated ability to work as a team player as well as the ability to work independently Customer service oriented with a high level of professionalism Outstanding organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks Excellent attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills The John F.
