    UNIVERSITY HEALTH PHYSICIANS, an academic group practice affiliated with the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE in conjunction with its major teaching facility TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTERS/UNIVERSITY HEALTH (TMC/UH),  is seeking a Trauma/Critical Care physician at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.

     

    The selected candidate would be involved in covering general surgery, trauma and the surgical intensive care unit. TMC is an ACS Level 1 and State of Missouri designated Level 1 trauma center and serves the population of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area with a complex mixture of rural and urban trauma. We are also the leader in disaster management for the Kansas City area. UMKC supports several residencies and the candidate will have teaching responsibilities for general surgery residents and medical students.

     

    The preferred candidate should be board certified in General Surgery and have completed a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. They need to be either board certified or eligible in Surgical Critical Care. Current Surgical Critical Care Fellows are encouraged to apply.
