  • Responsibilities

    MISSION:

    The Salesforce Developer will work as part of the team dedicated to ensuring that we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the system based on the various user group needs. This position will be responsible for no-code and code-based solutions within Salesforce involving data migrations, systems integrations and 3rd party applications. The Salesforce Developer position will work closely with the Salesforce administrator and Business Analysts to develop solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions.

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for developing in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other technologies to build customized solutions

    • Build, improve and optimize the performance and architecture of very complex software systems built on the Heroku platform

    • Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement

    • Bring new solutions and ideas to use Salesforce to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace

    • Work on data modeling on salesforce platform, and design LWC controls on Salesforce

    • Engage in code and technical design reviews of solution implementations to ensure code quality and best practices are maintained

    • Collaborate with internal and external architects to ensure technical solution designs adhere to architectural strategies of the team.

    • Communicate, and manage a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code

    • Integrating and maintaining business applications to Salesforce, such as DocuSign, Conga, SAP,

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Experience writing Apex classes and triggers, and Lightning Web Components 
    • Familiar with Salesforce Lightning Design System and SFDX
    • Deep knowledge of the Heroku platform
    • Knowledge of the programming language including Java, JavaScript, SQL/SOQL, Python, Scala, Node.JS, etc.
    • The ability to code the front-end in line with the UI design
    • Familiarity with HTML, HTML5, CSS, and CSS3
    • Years of experience in deploying web apps on the Heroku platform.
    • Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)
    • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and other technical teams
    • Understanding of and experience with Salesforce architecture and API
    • Experience using GitHub or other version control software
    • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • 6+ years previous development experience preferably in Salesforce
    • 2+ years of experience in Heroku
    • Experience in NodeJS is must, have experience building application using node for Heroku platform
    • Platform Developer 1 & 2 Certification preferred 
    • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
