    SHIPPING TOW MOTOR OPERATOR

     

    Graphic Packaging International, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading provider of packaging solutions for a wide variety of products to food, beverage and other consumer products companies.  The Company is one of the largest producers of folding cartons and holds a leading market position in coated-unbleached Kraft board and coated-recycled board.  One of its facilities is currently seeking an experienced SHIPPING TOW MOTOR OPERATOR for the Fort Smith, AR plant that is part of the Consumer Products Division

    POSITION PURPOSE

    The primary role of this positon is to actively assist the Finishing and Cutting Department presses as a Material Handler on the Forklift.

    Work in a safe and efficient manner.

     

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Remove loads from cutters blank and ship to shipping and flip loads | | - Bring loads to the gluers and place at the feed table; Bring loads | | to CI and remove loads from CI | | - Band waste and take loads to banding station; Put corrugated and | | pallets on platforms when needed | | - Remove finished loads from platforms and take finished goods to | | shipping | | - Empty dumpster and empty the corrugated waste and band | | - Replace empty glue bins and put glue barrels in cart; Change the | | batteries | | - Perform safely inspection on lift (at beginning of shift) and clean | | Lift daily | | - Put loads on the Second floor when needed; Watch for pedestrians and | | other trucks | | - Supply hand-pack with stock and material and remove finish goods | | from hand-pack | | - Take corrugated back to shipping when cutting or finishing are | | through using it (must have id tags on them) | | - Clean floors with the power boss (floor sweeper) and maintain power | | boss floor sweeper | | - Paint lift trucks, replace walkways lines, and paint yellow poles | | - Directly involved in responsibilities / actions related to | | Prerequisites and Food Safety Programs | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+


     


     

     

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for these occupations
    • Ability to be a certified fork truck operator.
    • Previous fork lift experience is required.

  • Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Mascot or character experience preferred
    • Theater/acting experience or Educational experience preferred
    • 6 months – 1 year customer service experience required
    • Friendly, outgoing, and proactive individual
    • Ability to work weekends and holidays with occasional evenings
    • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
    • Allergies related to animals or plants, which might interfere with ability to work, must be controlled by medications or protective equipment.
    • Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time, sit for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop, walk long distances
    • Ability to work in all weather conditions
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

     

    PAY RATE: $12.50 PER HOUR
