    JOB SUMMARY

    Lead, support, and offer guidance to the stock replenishment and procurement buyers while serving as a liaison to the Director of Inventory. Support and offer suggestions to sales and branch teams as it relates to inventory decisions, standard operating procedures, and best practice supply chain decisions.

     

    PURCHASING TEAM LEAD ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Internal customer support liaison for the stock replenishment buyers/procurement specialists and Irby branches (sales and sales leadership)
    • Completes employee reviews, no less than once annually, for all direct reports
    • Manages procurement path and assignment of buy lines
    • Performs weekly review and loads ‘Weekly MIN’ requests
    • Maintain, with direct reports, current pricing and follows or improves all cost/price best practices and SOPs
    • Maintain timesheets, PTO requests, and all other required Sonepeople responsibilities per Sonepar policy
    • Guide sales and sales leadership in decision making processes while following Irby and Sonepar directives and objectives with regards to vendor selection, best practices, and SOPs
    • Maintain all Irby Electric and Sonepar directives and policies, avoiding prohibited vendors, suppliers, and products
    • Coordinates, facilitates, and maintains data integrity within the Irby Supply Chain
    • Research causes of systematic issues resulting in undesirable inventory situations and service level issues while also making systematic improvements so future undesirable situations can be avoided
    • Establish and maintain necessary stocking levels based on inventory item demand and trends
    • Engage with supply chain and sales teams on inventory forecasting and trending
    • Profile branch and network inventories using the I3 Process
    • Communicate regularly with sales and sales leadership, as well as supply chain teams on purchasing concerns or issues and work towards resolutions with expediency
    • Ensures accurate, complete records are kept regarding inventory positions
    • Provide system enhancements, educate, and update supply chain teams on new or improved purchasing practices and provides SOP improvements wherever possible

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, and procedures employed in the acquisition of inventory items.
    • Knowledge of inventory maintenance and control.
    • Knowledge of purchasing and requisitioning practices and procedures.
    • Knowledge of records keeping as employed in an inventory operation.
    • Skill in the use of personal computer/software. Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite.
    • Ability to formulate and present recommendations and implement methods.
    • Ability to prepare and present oral and written reports.
    • Ability to perform mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
    • Ability to conduct inventories.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and at least four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Qualifications
    • With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs of patient and significant other when administering care.
    • Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment which may include a considerable amount of walking, and physical assistance for patients.
    • Strong verbal and written skills; fluent in English. 
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and patient safety measures.
    • Current AHA BLS certification required.
    • Adaptability and accuracy.
    • Must have good visual acuity and motor coordination.
    • Strong clinical skills.
    • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
    • Strong computer skills (data entry and typing).
    • Honest, dependable, and conscientious.
    • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) computerized practice management and other record keeping systems.
    • Bilingual, Spanish preferred.
