    Banquet Bartender

    POSITION OBJECTIVES:

    Bartenders prepare alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks for members and guests of the club according to Westchester Country Club Standards of Service, in several restaurant outlets and banquet venues.

    SUMMARY REQUIREMENTS:

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    Knowledge of standard drink recipes and ability to mix them quickly and accurately.

    Ability to make special drinks on request

    Responsible for identifying members and checking that members and guests requesting drinks meet minimum drinking age

    Responsible for arranging bottles and barware, wash glasses, clean the bar, remove empty bottles, trash and replace empty beer kegs.

    Responsible for setting up and stocking their bar prior to the start of an event and requesting additional supplies if necessary.

    PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

    Strong Bartending Skills

    Impeccable appearance, friendly and professional attitude

    Ability to work long shifts and quickly adapt to various venues and set ups

    Ability to quickly join and work cohesively with Food and Beverage Managers and co-workers to provide a great service experience to our membership and their guests

    Knowledge of State and local laws concerning the sale of alcoholic drinks

     Flexible when asked to perform side duties

    JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

    The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    1-2 yrs exp. in upscale restaurants/bars/catering venues preferred

    In possession of valid Bartending License

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS/SPECIALIZED COURSES AND/OR TRAINING:

    Knowledge of State and local laws concerning the sale of alcoholic drinks

    LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

    Must be able to communicate & interact professionally with members & employees in English language.

    PHYSICAL, SENSORY AND MOTOR DEMANDS:

    Able to move fast and multi-task in a fast paced, high stress / pressure environment (Heat and Action)

    Frequent Standing for extended periods of time.

    Frequent Walking to collect or deliver goods in various kitchens and or reception areas (buffet set ups).

    Regular Lifting up to 50 Lbs.

    Excellent physical fitness, visual acuity and sense of smell
