    ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

    We are hiring a Camp Nurse to join our Beach Camp team. The Camp Nurse will report to the Camp Director and will be responsible for providing a safe and healthy environment for all Campers and team members. This will be achieved primarily through the management of all health-related documentation, storing and administering prescribed medications, attending to health-related incidents throughout Camp daily operation and managing immunization records in preparation for start of Camp.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    The Camp Nurse must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Camp Director, including but not limited to:

    • Attend to Camper and team member first aid and health matters, including responding to illnesses and injuries, throughout course of daily Camp operations
    • Maintain first aid logbook, keeping thorough and accurate record of treatments
    • Manage Camper and team member immunization records, ensuring all records are up to date prior to start of Camp
    • Manage and maintain documentation of Camper and team member medical conditions
    • Manage proper storage and administration of Camper and team member prescribed medications
    • Assist in additional areas of daily Camp operation as needed by Camp Director

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    • NY State licensure as a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or emergency medical technician
    • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
    • Must have ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
    • Must complete all team member orientations, trainings, and documents prior to start of Camp
    • Must possess strong leadership skills
    • Must be available for Camp’s six-week duration from July 1st to August 9th
    • Must be available for Camp’s operational hours (typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM ), with the ability to work varying daily start/end times at the Camp Director’s discretion
    • Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, Counselors, Campers, parents and guardians
    • Working primarily in and around the designated Camp areas, both indoor and outdoor

    PAY RANGE

    $38.00 - $42.00 hourly compensation, commensurate with experience
