Intern (GDH) Job Description KHOU 11, a TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate in Houston, is now accepting applications for paid Fall internship in our Great Day Houston (GDH) department. If you are a junior or senior in college and would like an internship with Houston's #1 watched local morning program team, this is your chance! Internships offer you an opportunity to see if you are interested in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism, in multiple capacities. Our interns receive the benefit of being assigned a mentor, who will provide a platform to develop passion, skills and experience. Our mentors will provide a learning partnership with our interns, and teach them all there is to know about the fascinating world of television. This internship will focus on assisting the team with pre-production planning, setting up props, running prompter during the live show, greeting guest and audience members, assisting producers on the floor during the live show, making phone calls, updating our website, and other duties that will provide a basic understanding of producing a live daily entertainment show.
