We are currently looking for a knowledgeable college student to join our team as an Accounting Intern . This position is based in our La Porte, TX corporate office. Responsibilities Accounting Intern will be assisting both Job Cost accountants and Team Leads, as well as, GL accountants. Main objective for the intern will be to contribute to day-to-day accounting functions, while learning Austin Industrial operations and processes. Key area of focus will be supporting month-end close processing. Projects and duties for learning Assist with various GL Reconciliations Assist with Bank reconciliations Assist with Overhead department reviews and departmental MYFC Participate and help with monthly close procedures, such as journal entries, accruals, and job cost reviews Support AR and AP functions Additional responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications Education and Experience Must be working toward a degree in Accounting Must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher & be able to work up to 40 hours per week (flexible during the school year) Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Must have the ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams Austin Industrial is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
