    THE POSITION: INTERNAL SALES DESK MANAGER

    The Internal Sales Desk Manager position is responsible for managing all sales, service, and marketing activities on the Internal Sales Desk at Brookfield-Oaktree Wealth Management Solutions (WMS). The product structures will include mutual funds, separately managed accounts, non-traded REITs, BDCs, Interval Funds, and open/closed-end private funds. The sales structure is de-channelized calling on Wirehouses, Regionals, Independent Broker Dealers, Private Banking, and RIAs. The Internal Sales Desk Manager performance is measured by gross flows, assets under management, sales activities, and broader team contribution of the Internal Wholesalers to the National sales efforts. Compensation is performance-based consisting of salary and annual bonus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Recruit, develop, coach and manage a team of Internal Wholesalers that partner with External Wholesalers in achieving and exceeding territorial sales goals.
    • Help ensure product sales through the development and coaching of Internal Wholesalers sales skills, data management, territory management, and strategy execution.
    • Execute sales strategy consistent with the Regional and National sales goals.
    • Convey deep technical knowledge of the firm’s investment strategies and fund vehicles.
    • Work effectively in a team environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, or related field
    • 5 years + of experience as an Internal / Hybrid sales associate in the financial services industry with sales desk leadership responsibilities
    • Series 6 / 7 and 63 Licensed
    • Previous supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership preferred
    • High degree of self-motivation and professionalism, with a confident, assertive style and tenacity to deliver results
    • Excellent relationship building and conflict resolution skills

    TRAVEL:

    • The position is NYC based and minimal travel is required.
