We are accepting applications for a Billing Specialistat our Roseland,
NJ corporate office. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of
billing and financial tasks. Duties of the Billing Specialist include
ensuring monthly invoices are sent out timely, accurately tracking
customer accounts, and performing a monthly reconciliation of
miles/hours. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity for those
candidates looking for a career in finance. We are seeking individuals
with a strong work ethic, outstanding attendance and punctuality, and a
great teamwork attitude. Responsibilities * Bill digital and paper sales
invoices (monthly and ad hoc) * Reverse invoices and issue credit memos
- Inspect and ensure correct values on bills * Post billing and
receivables in accounting software * Post cash receipts * Monthly follow
up with past due accounts * Research short paid invoices, follow up for
payments * Research unapplied cash * Communicate with Controller and
Assistant Controller regarding issues as they arrive * Assist in
preparation for audits * Deposits at local bank as needed * Monthly,
quarterly, yearly, reconciliation of customer mileage/hourly readings *
Monthly credit card reconciliation * Maintain and audit vendor bills and
contracts Qualifications * Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or
business administration preferred * 3+years billing experience required
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient with Microsoft Office *
General accounting experience a plus * Experience with accounting
software programs * Strong Customer Service experience * Strong
organization and communication skills * Excellent analytical and
problem-solving skills * Excellent time management skills *
Self-motivated with prioritization skills and ability to multi-task *
Close attention to detail and able to work in fast paced environment *
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure & meet deadlines
