Construction Engineer Kraemer North America (Kraemer) is currently searching for a Construction Engineer to work out of our corporate office in Plain, WI (near Madison). The Construction Engineer will act as an internal technical consultant to Project Managers, Engineers and Estimators by providing civil and structural engineering expertise to resolve field construction and design problems by ensuring the most efficient methods and materials are being utilized. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Communicates with internal operations personnel and outside engineering firms to produce effective designs for operations and/or projects * Responsible for the design for formwork, false work temporary structures, cofferdams and safety systems * Develop and modify engineer drawings using AutoCAD * Performs pre-bid planning/brainstorming * Clearly communicate design ideas and solutions * Visit project sites as needed * Problem solving concerning technical, logistical and scientific problems * Administers and ensures compliance with Kraemer Safety and Quality programs * Maintains correspondence with owners, suppliers and other external partners * Extensive concentration in performing design calculations Specific requirements we are looking for in candidates include: * Bachelor's degree in Civil/Construction Engineering * Previous experience in applying construction engineering techniques and knowledge to include design of form work, false work, and coffer dams * Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and solutions * Previous experience preparing and modifying engineer drawings using AutoCAD * Travel may be required at times for regional support Location - * Plain, WI Corporate Office (near Madison, WI) Kraemer is proud to offer an exceptional benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401(k), short term incentive bonuses, dependent care and health care reimbursement plan, life insurance, short and long term disability, holidays, vacation, sick, education assistance, and a computer purchase program.
