    The minimum starting salary is $100,000, and this position is eligible for Senior Management designation by the Florida Retirement System (FRS).

    Required Qualifications: **** This position requires a doctorate degree from an accredited institution and eight (8) years of significant senior level administrative experience at an institution of higher education, including experience in the development and administration of curriculum, budget, personnel, and strategic planning. The candidate must show a successful record of teaching experience in a community or state college setting, as well as familiarity with online course instruction, dual enrollment programs, and student and program learning outcome assessment practices. A record of commitment to excellence, collaboration, and personal integrity with a demonstrated capacity for innovative and visionary academic leadership is also required.

    Preferred Qualifications: Supervision of multiple academic support functions at a large multi-campus institution is preferred.

    Key Responsibilities : This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.

    • Provide leadership, management and supervision for employees, and enforcement of policies and procedures, in the areas of responsibility. Develop and distribute clear directives necessary for efficient and effective administration. Oversee daily operations of academic Colleges, including all faculty, department chairs, deans and AVPs. May also oversee areas such as academic support centers, the Division of Online Studies and the Southeast Museum of Photography.
    • Serve effectively as the college’s Chief Academic Officer and member of the Senior Executive Staff. This includes representing the College in state-wide meetings and at public events. Public speaking is a frequent duty.
    • Advise the Provost on issues and recommend changes in policies or procedures to improve the overall operation of the College, with emphasis on areas of course and program enrollment, retention and student success. Provide updates and proposals to the President and other members of the senior staff on projects as assigned by the Provost and President.
    • Develop and manage an academic strategic plan and implement academic related policies and procedures and enforce them as required; Provide academic guidance for long range plans and programs for area of responsibility.
    • Development, oversight, review and approval of effective divisional budgetary controls to ensure that each operating unit of responsibility operates with efficiency and effectiveness and within established budgets. Control expenditures to the extent that all funds are spent according to college policies and procedures.

    **Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: **

    • Excellent organizational, public speaking and presentation skills.
    • Comfortable with technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite; strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs.
    • Ability to function effectively in a process oriented and team environment; grasp concepts quickly.
    • Exceptional leadership and supervision skills; ability to effectively collaborate with others.

    • Reads, interprets and understands blueprints and operation sheets.
    • Performs functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts. Machines could include lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers.
    • Maybe required to assists less experience machinists.
    • Must have working knowledge of shop math, be able to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets.
    • Must be capable of using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
