Check us out here: https://www.leafgroup.com/brands/ YOU'LL REPORT TO: GM & VP, SALES A TYPICAL DAY AS A PROCUREMENT MANAGER MIGHT INCLUDE:

    • Developing procurement processes and strategies that are inventive and cost effective
    • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors both domestic and international
    • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
    • Reviewing existing contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers and vendors to ensure on going feasibility and efficiency
    • Validate invoices against purchase orders
    • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers
    • Working with our inventory clerk to evaluate inventory levels, delivers and defective goods
    • Creating, placing, and monitoring purchase orders
    • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term savings
    • Implementing and managing an inventory management system
    • Creating and preparing procurement reports
    • Forecasting demand to evaluate inventory risks

    YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU ARE ORGANIZED, A PROBLEM SOLVER AND HAVE STRONG RELATIONSHIP BUILDING SKILLS.  WHAT YOU HAVE:

    • 5+ years in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
    • Proven experience managing supply chain operations
    • Experience using Sage MAS 200
    • Excellent MS Excel skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing and negotiation terms
    • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
    • High organized and detail-oriented
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
