Job Description
The INSIDE SALES PROJECT ESTIMATOR position is responsible for new products sales, aspects of new unit start-up, and pre- and post-sale customer relations.
The position reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager in the Sales department and routinely interacts with customers both internal and external.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather Request for Quotes from various sources (including, plan rooms, ‘call ins’, ‘faxed in’ specs and requests from the sales or service group)
- Estimating and preparing proposals on time via CRM
- Support engineers, contractors and outside sales people
- Handle incoming technical sales calls
- Project management duties for specific projects in pre-sale area
- Training and assisting on specs/sizing via CRM
- Searching and gathering better pricing on outside purchases
- Continuing education on product; (models, sizes, engines used, controls, options, switchgear and etc.)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and time management
- Mathematic skills (using calculator)
- Self-starter, work without supervision, exercise good judgment and decision-making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with MS Office, computer skills
- Attention to detail, including the ability to manage projects to the customer’s expectation
- Strong customer service orientation
- Knowledge of electrical systems and generators is desired, but not mandatory
