OPIS IS HIRING A NURSE PRACTITIONER (ARNP) AT OPIS RIVERWOOD CENTER IN JACKSONVILLE, FL ON A PRN BASIS.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE LICENSED NURSE PRACTITIONER (ARNP) ROLE IS SOMEONE WHO IS A CARING AND COMPASSIONATE INDIVIDUAL THAT IS DEDICATED TO MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THEIR CUSTOMERS, AND WHO HAVE A DESIRE TO LEARN AND EXPAND PROFESSIONALLY IN A SUPPORTIVE, COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT. The Nurse Practitioner position is a key hands-on position that greatly improves the quality of care our customers receive. They provide primary medical care services in collaboration with the physician, and consultation to the nursing staff regarding medical and nursing care related to customers' care.

NURSE PRACTITIONER PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assess, diagnose, and prescribe treatment for customers in accordance with specific, individualized care plans;
• Consult with nursing, rehabilitation, nutrition, and other appropriate staff to meet health care needs of customers;
• Complete all necessary documentation regarding health care of customers in accordance with established policies and procedures and relevant state and federal regulatory requirements;
• Provide emergency medical care to customers, as needed
• Involve the customer and/or appropriate, responsible party in the planning of medical and nursing care for specific problems

NURSE PRACTITIONER EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed ARNP in the State of Florida and board certified
• 5 years NP experience in a nursing home or geriatric experience preferred
• Ability to work autonomously
• Flexible availability 4-5 five days a week, with some limited evening coverage
