Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on technical research. You will execute proof of concepts for new cloud security features under research for Zscaler’s Cloud Security Posture management product. As a member of the engineering team, you will closely work with the Cloud Policy research team and Cloud Engineering teams to deliver whitepapers. This position will closely work and mentored by Engineering Architect’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security research on cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Explore the CLOUD API’s and extract vulnerabilities from cloud assets
• Penetration testing on cloud solutions and record the successful exploits
• Perform proof of concepts to test and design solutions
• Develop technical design diagrams for the PoC
• Setup a VULS DB ecosystem and integrate with multiple CVE DB in the public
• Develop Plugins and Plugins designs for major CI / CD systems

Qualifications

• Pursuing Master of Computer Science’s and candidate for graduation in December 2021
• You would work 40 hrs/wk during the summer and we are looking for candidates who would be able to work part-time (20 hrs/wk) during the Fall. Conducive to candidates local to San Jose or who will be completing the rest of the Fall 2021 semester virtually
• Technical experience in security
• Affinity or experience to explore KALI LINUX Tools
• Ability to write code in GO or PYTHON
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• “Roll up sleeves and do what it takes” attitude and strong team player that is not afraid to present new, creative ideas.
