    ROLE: APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER - FEDERAL

    LOCATION: REMOTE WITHIN UNITED STATES

    NOTE:  U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION DUE TO THE NATURE OF DUTIES ASSIGNED TO THIS ROLE.

    Zscaler is seeking a self-starter who enjoys the challenge of solving technical problems and supporting business operations. You will play a critical role in troubleshooting issues for business operations team members across Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Support. High-level customer service is a must! If you love assisting people in a fun, fast-paced work environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Help internal users to diagnose and troubleshoot access, permissions, and workflow issues for Zscaler business applications
    • Manage user account creation, termination, and reactivation as needed
    • Maintain and support our Single Sign-On service
    • Create documentation and guidance on common user issues
    • Create training and communications for common issues or user processes
    • Track and renew licenses, certificates, and keys for various systems
    • Keep systems updated with the latest patches, vulnerability fixes
    • Track and organize requests via our ticketing system
    • Gain an understanding of business requirements and route tickets to the appropriate teams as needed
    • Proactively identify problems impacting your progress, conduct root cause analyses, and take action to resolve them
    • Encourage and adapt efficient methodologies to maintain strong delivery velocity and time-to-value across the team

    QUALIFICATIONS/YOUR BACKGROUND:

    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in general technical/application support and maintenance
    • Demonstrated competence in the following: Azure Active Directory, Azure SSO, DNS/Network Infrastructure, Windows Active Directory
    • Having knowledge in basic programming language such as Python is preferred
    • Having knowledge in managing Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence and/or Bitbucket
    • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, especially when handling confidential information.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business problems in technical solutions
    • High level of energy and a desire to thrive in a large, complex, fast-paced organization; ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
