Zscaler is hiring Cloud Quality and Reliability engineers to work on delivering a multi-tenant, scalable, and secure SaaS platform with a micro-services architecture.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. You need to be self-starter, a problem solver and a team player. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Product & Development teams to understand new features; develop and execute test designs, test plans, and sign-off on releases.
• Responsible for Reliability, Availability and Scalability of assigned cloud services/sub-systems.
• Develop test tools, enhance automation framework, and write test automation in Python.
• Define test strategy and write test plan for the data platform enhancements and new features/services built on it.
• Responsible for system & performance testing of the data platform and applications.
• Solve problems; establish plans; and provide technical consultation in the design, development and test effort of complex Zscaler engineering projects.
• Identify issues and technical interdependencies and suggests possible solutions.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues within Zscaler products running on Unix systems.
• Recreate complex customer and production reported issues to determine root cause and verify the fix.
• Define the operating procedures, service monitors and alerts for the cloud services and systems in your domain.
• Conducting regular training/hands on sessions and creating knowledge base articles for cross functional teams.
• Mentor new team members and participate in peer review of their execution of tests and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience as SDET/QA engineer in Networking and Storage and/or BigData domain.
• Proficient in Python for tools, automation automation framework & test automation development.
• Extensive knowledge of Unix systems and shell-commands. 
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Database systems and query language.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in Networking protocols, HTTP/HTTPS, Proxy and Firewall .
• Hands-on Experience with at least one cloud provider like AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience in testing large scale real-time data processing and analytics systems.
• Very good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
