Job Description

The Sr. Software Engineer - Backend will be responsible for full ownership of design and development of Java based scalable backend servers for monitoring and management of the massively growing Zscaler cloud infrastructure.

This position is in the Cre-DevOps team,  responsible for developing & deploying highly business critical, scalable, integrated software systems & applications keeping the massive scaled out Zscaler Cloud running at peak performance. On any given day, the Zscaler cloud  processes tens of billions of transactions — scanning a petabyte of data for more than 20 millions and growing numbers of users around the world. The transaction volume on the Zscaler cloud is growing significantly every quarter. Cre-DevOPS team is developing integrated applications & systems to automate management of the cloud. To be a part of this team, you will, above all, need to share this dedication. And a sense of humor wouldn’t hurt.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take full ownership of  design and development of Java based backend servers for one or multiple applications.
• Technical mentoring  of team members.
• Work seamlessly with Network Operations, QA, and Cloud Infrastructure development team to collect automation requirements.

Qualifications

• 5 plus years of software development experience in networks, cloud management or similar domains.
• Java based scalable, backend Servers development experience 
• Experience in Python is a big plus
• Experience in CI/CD tools (Ansible, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a big plus.
• Experience in managing public clouds (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc) is a big plus
• Problem solver can-do attitude and team working
• Academic education in Computer Science is preferred though not mandatory.
