Job Description
General Description: The EMC Compliance Technician II position supports EMC testing for consumer electronics by maintaining test environments, executing tests under global standards, creating and following EMC test plans, managing equipment calibration, and performing expert soldering/rework on complex PCBs to support EMC troubleshooting.
- Starting compensation is based on experience.
- No H1 Sponsorship.
- Must Already be in Mountain View, CA or willing to relocate at own cost
Primary Responsibilities/Tasks:
EMC Compliance Technician
• Completion of testing with reliable test data and generating test reports per test plan per defined schedule
• Closure of bugs filed in buganizer
• Finalized test reports and verified test summaries from external partners
Qualifications
Work Experience Requirements:
• Support EMC Test Environment
• Support testing efforts under international EMC standards (EN 55032, EN 55035, FCC Part 5 Subpart B, VCCI-CISPR 32, etc) pertaining to a broad range of consumer electronics products.
• Define EMC test plans for various types of consumer electronics products (smart phones, smart home devices, wearable devices, etc.) and execute test plans.
• Perform / manage necessary lab equipment and test equipment calibration
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in related engineering major (EE, CE, etc.)
