    Job Description

    The Maintenance and Permanent Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and preventive maintenance of company's mobile and permanently installed units.. This role ensures equipment integrity, supports plant operations, and provides technical troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

    • Oversee Daily Operations Manage the day-to-day functioning of permanently installed units, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they impact production.
    • Maintenance Planning & Execution Schedule, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements. Verify proper documentation and maintenance records are completed and updated.
    • Troubleshooting & Technical Support Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and pneumatic issues. Provide support for amine/glycol system operation and troubleshooting when required. Assist with IT networking, remote communications, and control system support.
    • Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce safety procedures, policies, and best practices. Participate in safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations. Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with OSHA, company, and industry standards.
    • Team Leadership & Training Coordinate activities with operations staff, contractors, and other maintenance personnel. Provide mentoring and on-the-job training to team members as needed. Support onboarding and training for new employees assigned to permanent units.
    • Communication & Coordination Communicate operational status, equipment concerns, and work progress to supervisors, engineers, and plant personnel. Work closely with engineering, operations, and management to optimize unit performance. Interface professionally with customers, vendors, and external service providers.
    • Emergency Response Respond to unit upsets, alarms, or emergency situations promptly and effectively. Participate in on-call rotations and be available for callouts or overtime as needed.
    • Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance unit reliability, reduce downtime, and improve workflow. Participate in root-cause analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement initiatives. Contribute to updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance strategies.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
    • 3+ years of experience in maintenance / petrochemical industry. (Preferred)
    • Military training and engineering coursework completion a plus. (Preferred)
    • Plant/refinery operations experience. (Preferred)
