    Job Description

    Role Summary

    We are searching for a driven Technical Sales Representative with a strong background in the petrochemical industry and knowledge of sales pipeline management. Our integrated team of experts, including process engineers, analytical specialists, and chemists, work together to provide integrated solutions to our client’s challenges. Sulphur Experts Inc. and all its divisions (Amine Experts, Dehydration Experts, and Sulphur Experts) offer our clients an impressive package of services ranging from on-site support, analytical services, engineering studies, and technical training.

    In this role, you will identify client challenges and align them with our services, with an emphasis on developing new clients and maintain an excellent rapport with existing clients within the Southern United States.

    Responsibilities

    • Grow revenue in product lines of testing, training and troubleshooting.
    • Achievement of established sales & profitability targets within approved expense budgets
    • Communicate the Sulphur Experts/SGS value proposition to industry decision-makers.
    • Acquire new clients via identification, prioritization and sales plan execution for refinery, petrochemical plant, and gas processing.
    • Manage accounts and interface with clients and industry stakeholders to understand specific needs and respond with appropriate solutions. Detailed product knowledge, understanding of technical specifications, and the expertise to understand client requirements.
    • Be proficient in identifying and specifying projects based on client input and interface with Operations on the successful delivery of those projects. In association with the foregoing this person will be required to generate detailed and professional project proposals and then tactfully negotiate the commercial terms of each proposal.​
    • Independently develop and collaborate on sales proposals and responses to RFP / RFQs and tenders.
    • Participate in technical presentations, client events and industry exhibitions.
    • Advising senior management on maximizing business relationships and creating an environment where client service can flourish.
    • Assist in the generation and development of ideas for new services, products and/or enhancement of existing services.
    • Maintain accountability for all project budgets and contracts issued for the company for the region.
    • Develop an annual regional business plan that links to the annual corporate strategic business plan.
    • Constantly survey and assess client needs to bring forward to the corporate business planning process.
    • Conduct various client relationship management responsibilities with the overall goal of regional client satisfaction.
    • Lead the review of negative job reports from clients and approve remedial steps.
    • Ensure that all project scope and schedule information has been approved by the Production Manager at the project commitment stage.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Recognized post-secondary degree (preferably Engineering, Business or similar).

    • 5 years + of experience selling technical services preferably with existing relationships at the senior level at refineries and gas processing industries.

    • Solid understanding of petroleum products, commodity trade flows & logistics.

    • Strong business acumen, preparation of business cases

    • Ability to demonstrate Client Centric Selling techniques.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills/consultative selling.

    • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong presentation skills.

    • Proficient with CRM tools (Acumatica).

    • Must be a self-motivator and self-starter.

    • Creative, innovative and client-focused.

    • Travel is required (Up to 50%).

    Skills

    • Up-to-date, hands-on experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Excellent oral, presenting & written communication skills (minimum English, additional languages, an advantage).
    • Advanced project management/planning skills with the ability to manage projects, budgets & deadlines.

    Travel & Location

    • The role is to be based out of our Kemah, Texas office
    • Occasional to frequent travel is anticipated for this role related to; technical sales activities, including maintaining customer relations and conferences
