    Job Description

    The Training Manager CBE NAM manages the Training team and ensures the successful delivery of the training courses for the Certification and Business Enhancement (CBE) department in North America. They also collaborate with the global Training team and acts as the primary point of contact for training-related queries. The Training Manager also reports the monthly financial status and supports the Business Sector Vice Presidents with the growth of the training business.

    • Ensures the proper systems, procedures, and resources are in place to successfully deliver training courses across all three modalities (Instructor Lead, Virtual Instructor Lead, and e-Learning) aligned to the business unit strategy for growth and market demands.
    • Coordinates assignments and scheduling of trainers for execution of training. Performs maintenance of the databases, files, and records created as applicable to trainings.
    • Manages internal subject matter experts, 3rd party providers and collaboration partners for course development and/or delivery, to include coordination of resources and ensuring levels of product quality and service are achieved.
    • Manages the local instructor pool including interviewing, on-boarding, delivery of train-the-trainer sessions, establishment, negotiate rates and communication of KPI’s and individual performance management.
    • Creates and ensures appropriate maintenance of all CBE NAM Training programs (i.e. NAM Product Portfolio)
    • Manages the KN NAM training team in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Provides leadership, establishes employees' goals, conducts interviews, performance evaluations and coaching sessions; hires and trains new staff.
    • Reports monthly on financial status and operational performances of training department & coordinates invoicing activities as directed by Finance/Accounting. Controls costs and profitability of the Training Team.
    • Collaborates with the Global Academy, identifies best practices and integrates these into NAM systems and processes.
    • Collaborates with Business VP’s and align with the business strategy and work closely with the marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies to expand the business and improve our competitive position.
    • Collaborates with the sales team to define sales targets and to establish a robust sales pipeline.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in an Education related field of study AND
    • 7+ years of relevant experience, including Instructional Design
    • 3+ years supervisory experience

    Preferred:

    • Master’s degree in Instructional Design in combination with experience outlined above

    KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

    • Intermediate user proficiency E-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe) and graphic design
    • Knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Knowledge of virtual training platforms (Skype, GoToMeeting, WebEx, Adobe, etc.)
    • Strong organizational, project management and learning outcome analysis skills
    • Understanding of Management Systems and Regulatory Safety and Quality standards is helpful
    • Leadership abilities
    • Ability to prioritize work, set up goals and track achievements
    • Language Skills: English – Advanced level
    • Mathematical Skills: Basic level
    • Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Advanced level

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    • Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint) – Intermediate user proficiency

    TRAVEL

    • Travels up to 5% of the time.
