    Job Description

    Our East Syracuse, NY laboratory is looking for a Rental Preparation Technician to join their Rental team! The Rental Preparation Technician will work on calibrating equipment, repairing equipment, shipping and receiving equipment, preps for clients, as well as other projects as assigned.

    Job Functions:

    • Calibrates pumps and equipment for daily preps.
    • Performs quality control checks.
    • Satisfies all daily prep requests including quality control (QC) of requests.
    • Responsible for listening to client in order to have a full understanding of any conversation that takes place and then being able to document any conversations with client.
    • Responsible for being 100% thorough when coming in contact with client whether it is verbally, or in writing.
    • Provides total client responsiveness.
    • Responsible for continually looking for ways to improve processes.
    • Repairs equipment and performs quality control.
    • Checks in returned equipment.
    • Performs quality control on daily outgoing prep requests.
    • Answers technical questions posed by clients and other employees.
    • Attends data integrity training and signs off acknowledging understanding.
    • Ensures cleanliness of work area.
    • Responsible for the timely response to all e-mail, voicemail, verbal and written requests.
    • Operates within the guiding principles of the company.
    • Follows all guidelines for acceptable quality control, investigates quality control failures and rectifies problems and brings any discrepancies to their supervisor’s attention.
    • Initiates corrective action requirement.
    • Understands and always adheres to all aspects of the safety program.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 0-2 years general business experience (Required)
    • Associates degree or higher level education (Preferred)
    • High level of attention to detail. (Required)
    • Active listening skills (Required)
    • Strong team player and highly collaborative (Required)
    • Conscientious with excellent organizational and time management skills (Required)
    • Excellent mechanical aptitude and production-oriented (Required)
    • Computer-capable (Required)
    • Ability to lift/carry/push or pull upwards of 30 lbs, constantly (Required)

    The hourly rate for this position is $18 - 19.50 (dependent on experience). This position is eligible for overtime pay.

    In addition, your compensation package includes the following benefits:

    • Participation in the Company’s benefit programs coincident or following the first of the month in which you are hired.
    • Immediate eligibility to participate in the Company’s 401K Retirement Plan
    • Paid vacation
      • Four (4) floating holidays annually
      • Seven (7) company observed holidays paid
