  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Legal Assistant provides support to a high volume, in-house legal department.  Experience with contracts and contract management, corporate transactions and database organization is a plus.  Superior organizational skills and ability to follow through are needed for this position as it includes interacting with internal clients, including sales, professionals, senior management and others in connection with its duties.  Reports to the Supervisor, Paralegal.  Provides assistance with special projects as needed. 

    • Manages and distributes all legal review requests and interacts with internal clients to provide information regarding the agreement approval process, existing agreements, etc.
    • Review contractual agreements, ensuring agreement information / data quality entered into contracts database is accurate.
    • Draft basic legal correspondence and contracts such as NDAs, amendments, etc.
    • Conduct database searches and generating reports.
    • Update and manage Legal Sharepoint site and contract templates.
    • Must be discrete with confidential and proprietary information as well as the ability to remain focused and flexible and the ability to assist other areas of the legal department with unrelated and relates tasks. 
    • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
    • Supports counsel with litigation and subpoenas as needed.
    • More responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma
    • 2-5 years of administrative and/or legal assistant experience
    • Database management is a plus
    • NJ public notary preferred
