Spend 8 weeks this summer outside in a beautiful setting, away from technology learning real responsibility. We are looking for camp counselors who will guide and enrich 8-15-year old girls in the woods of Maine. One tradition at Walden is that all of our campers participate in wilderness canoeing and hiking trips of 2 to 4 days in length. We are searching for individuals who love the outdoors and have experience taking wilderness trips with young people to lead these trips and share their passion for the outdoors with our campers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading wilderness trips for campers ages 8-15 in Maine and areas of New Hampshire.
• Planning trips and packing gear and food with campers.
• Providing care and supervision for all campers
• Living with campers and creating a fun and supportive community in the cabin (females only.)

• Experience leading trips for children preferred.
• Strong love for the outdoors and experience hiking, camping, and/or canoeing
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience and love for working with children.

A 7-week sleepaway camp for girls in Maine. We focus on leadership, skill building and community. Our beautiful and rustic setting continues to be the "happy place" of many generations of past and current Waldenites.
