About the Position: Provide expert technical advice, assistance, and instruction to Army commands on the operation and maintenance of CECOM-managed Long Haul Transmission (LHT) equipment and the timely resolution of hardware, software, maintenance and supply problems.

Job Description

• Serve as the LHT STR Equipment Specialist (LAR) with responsibility to develop and implement the Technical Assistance plan for the LHT family of systems throughout their lifecycle.
• Use expert knowledge in configuring, maintaining and upgrading system networks, installing and integrating new hardware and applications.
• Provide expert technical advice, assistance, and instruction to Army commands on the operation and maintenance of CECOM-managed LHT equipment and the timely resolution of hardware, software, maintenance and supply problems.

The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness. As a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC), CECOM collaborates with Army Commands, Program Executive Offices, other AMC commands, and industry partners to provide, integrate, and sustain world-class C5ISR hardware, software, and mission command capabilities for the joint warfighter. CECOM maintains a global team of approximately 9,000 Soldiers, civilians, and contractors and is headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.
