    Job Summary

    This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

    Job Description

    • Research, develop, and plan new designs for the expansion of Energy Management Systems (EMS) in Army facilities.
    • Provide Direct Digital Control (DDC) technical support at various construction sites for new or expanded Energy Management Systems.
    • Coordinate the installation, central monitoring, and alarm handling of Energy Management Systems.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-10 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting in the development standard operating procedures for technical work on electronics systems; 2) Researching technical problem areas and the use of test and troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques; AND 3) Researching designs and recommend design change to equipment or parts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). GS-11 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Installing direct digital control (DDC) systems, such as electronic air quality, temperature, and humidity sensors, current transmitters, and variable frequency inverters, 2) Utilizing Energy Management Systems (EMS) software to monitor system performance, and 3) Assisting in the development of standard operating procedures for technical work on electronic systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
