Qualification Summary
Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Identify and/or resolve technical problems in ammunition, munitions, or explosives manufacturing by applying established policies, procedures, and engineering methods. 2) Support production-line operations through troubleshooting, process monitoring, and equipment readiness to minimize line stoppages. 3) Make recommendations based on preliminary data interpretation and test results for technical reports or documents. 4) Select proper materials (metals, metal alloys, plastics, nylon, Teflon, etc.) for specific items, tools, tooling, jigs, or fixtures in a(n) ammunition, munitions, or explosives manufacturing environment, to be made, renovated, or broken down. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NJ-02).
CAAA's mission is to safely receive, inspect, store, ship, renovate, demilitarize, and manufacture conventional ammunition, missiles, and related components to support Army and Joint Force readiness. We are and will remain the best producer and supplier of conventional munitions to the fighting ground, sea and air forces.
