    Job Summary

    This position may be filled as a temporary appointment not to exceed 1 year if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of 3 years.

    Job Description

    • Serve as the Command S4 Officer responsible for the overall planning, direction, and life-cycle management for all automated logistics systems, office automation, and command unique systems.
    • Conduct concurrent/sequential projects or studies relating to the command-wide management of numerous automated and manual supply management systems.
    • Exercise staff supervision for overall planning, direction, and life-cycle management for all automated logistics systems including Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), office automation, and command unique systems.
    • Implements all Command supply and logistics automation programs, projects, and systems.
    • Responsible for real property facilities at all Command locations and related requirements.
    • Plans, directs, integrates, and evaluates complex and varied logistical actions required to support the national and international mission of the subordinate organizations.
    • Facilities Management Point of Contact regarding facilities operations, maintenance, repair, and construction.
    • Project Manager and Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for a variety of construction and renovation projects.
    • Oversee and direct the Commands Army Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program.
    • Serve as the first line supervisor; direct the work of assigned civilian employees and contractor personnel performing technical, administrative, supply, and facilities work; provides guidance and direction to directorate Equipment Coordinators.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level or band which includes:1) Interpret and advise on advance supply and logistics management methods, regulations, procedures for automated supply and logistics information systems: 2) Analyzing, evaluating, and implementing supply and logistics information systems for supply, maintenance, transportation, procurement, and office automation; 3) Plan and conduct project/studies relating to management of numerous automated and manual supply management system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work at the equivalent of the highest pay grade within the NH-02 pay band, or GS-11 under the General Schedule, or other pay system in the Federal service.
