    Job Summary

    About the Position: Location is Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD working in the Communications and Electronics Command G1 Office.

    Job Description

    • Provide staff level advisory services to all levels within the command and its field installations/activities on specific and command-wide issues that impact labor and employee relations functions and programs.
    • Conduct studies of current labor relations programs to provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of a program.
    • Provide advisory services to management on performance appraisals to ensure compliance with the regulatory guidance.
    • Advise managers on legal requirements involved in resolution of employee relations matters to ensure they are in compliance.
    • Serve as Senior Staff Action Officer on special projects and complex studies to develop and evaluate proposals and initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Command HRM performance.
    • Develop, interpret, and analyze data extracts and/or reports from automated HR databases and develops the most efficient and effective automated systems approaches for presenting HR reports and graphics for management.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Employee Relations HR Information Systems Application Labor Relations Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

    The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness.
