    Job Description

    • As a team leader or principal analyst, lead and coordinate the efforts of other IT Specialists and contractors in solving enterprise architecture issues and problems for a wide range of systems, applications, and customers.
    • Consults with customers and applies analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
    • Ensures the safe and reliable integration of different elements of a system, including schedules, configurations, and resources.
    • Applies enterprise architecture principles to develop and manage technical requirements and achieve the appropriate balance among resources, schedule, and technical requirements.
    • Leads the analysis of the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise.
    • Serves as a technical expert and Command representative in the area of enterprise architecture enterprise systems on matters related to new IT/software concepts and other plans of significant impact and importance.
    • Develops, coordinates, and promotes interagency cooperative efforts in the management, utilization, and operation of data processing and data communication resources.

    Qualifications

Experience required: To qualify you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND In addition to the competencies listed above, you must have one year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Conducting enterprise architecture efforts for enterprise systems that support a wide range of functions, organizations, and/or processes; 2) Performing IT management activities, such as, strategic planning, workforce planning, policy and standards development, resource management or information security management; and 3) Applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new or improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customers. This is a TERM Not to exceed 5 years with the option to become permeant. Position will be filled as a term appointment NTE 5 years. Employees on term appointments will be separated at the end of the term appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended or the position converted to permanent.
