Job Description

• Prepares and proposes plans and concepts to ensure continuity in the transition of new and existing systems.
• Maintains awareness of existing federal, DOD, DA, and USAISEC policy requirements for DOD systems against state-of-the-art technology in assigned area of responsibility.
• Provides technical planning and hardware engineering assistance to information management system users requiring communications/network support in the initial stages of project planning to assist them in the identification of system requirements.
• Represents the command in conferences, committees, panels, or working groups with other government organizations and commercial companies.
• As team leader assigns and directs the work of assigned programs and projects.
• Develops guidelines for the formulation of policy and life cycle control of information management hardware in such areas as operation concepts; functional analysis; interoperability analysis; requirement definition survivability/vulnerability.

The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience in (1) Developing network system modifications such as routers, network devices, network architecture. (2) Information Technology (IT) infrastructure designs for buildings including passive and active components. (3) Analyzing existing networks and automated systems to determine needs, incorporate system improvements, and/or validate service requests for IT systems. (4) Conducting Quality Assurance testing and acceptance of IT technology systems or similar experience. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness.
