    Job Description

    • Serves as technical lead on system engineering projects.
    • Monitoring system engineering efforts and associated contract efforts to supplement mission programs.
    • Conducting system engineering requirement analysis to determine requirements for external efforts, and guides the preparation of the technical portions of the procurement package.
    • Coordinating with users during concept formulation and determination of system designs and parameters, technical risk, cost effectiveness, and testing.
    • Presenting briefings to convey strategic vision or organizational policies,
    • Providing expert advice in the evaluation of contractors' proposals and capabilities.
    • Assessing contractors system engineering efforts and deliverables, and modifying, realigning, or redirecting contractual efforts as necessary.

Applicant must possess IT-related experience that demonstrates each of the following four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience: One year of experience that includes: 1) Providing technical support in the incorporation of new software capabilities. AND 2) Providing technical support establishing/maturing a development infrastructure environment. AND 3) Architecting, developing, and/or deploying solutions based on emerging technologies.
