    JOB SUMMARY

    Incumbent serves as an Industrial Specialist and experience advisor for Industrial Base Matters. This position is subject to the NH-03 non-supervisory Senior Professional control point of the CECOM Control Point Policy.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Develops, applies, and coordinates AMC, DA, DoD and DLA policies and regulations related to Industrial Base (IB) matters.

    • Assists CECOM ILSC Weapon System Directorates and Program Executive Officers (PEOs) in the interpretation and implementation of such guidance.

    • Serves as the technical expert for CECOM Industrial Base matters.

    • Receive and review unsolicited proposals from industry/private business;

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 level in the Federal service which includes experience 1) Assisting with the development of policies and regulations related to Industrial Base (IB) and Obsolescence/Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS); 2) Reviewing acquisition strategies and plans to determine if changes to guidance and directives concerning the Industrial Base (IB) are required AND 3) Assessing the capability of the production and maintenance industrial base to support Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) and surge requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band/grade level in the Federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
